In 1937, three brothers, Don, Ed and Bill Walsworth, settled in the small town of Marceline, Mo. Long known as the boyhood home of Walt Disney, Marceline is now known as the corporate headquarters of Walsworth. Working out of their garage with a borrowed typewriter and a mimeograph machine, the three founders collaborated to print playbills. They quickly expanded their product line to include cookbooks and, after World War II, commemorative books honoring those who served their country.
In 1947, Walsworth began producing yearbooks, the company’s mainstay ever since. Responding to cyclical yearbook production, the Commercial Division, now Walsworth Print Group, was established in 1970.
Today, Walsworth remains a family-owned company employing more than 1,250 worldwide. Under the third generation of family leadership, Walsworth boasts more than 675 employees who have attained the Master Printer of America status. We are proud of our history and committed to the future of commercial printing.
